The SWAT-tourniquet is a unique and versatile bandage.
The SWAT tourniquet allows for a faster way to control bleeding from the extremities and allows for higher application in the groin and axilla than other devices.
The instructions for use are printed on the tourniquet, along with the application pressure measurement indicating the pressure to apply to achieve occlusion. Stretch the band until the diamond shape appears; this will provide sufficient pressure to stop or slow severe bleeding.
Recommended minimum operating temperature: -65°F (-53°C). Recommended maximum operating temperature: 180°F (82°C). Preferred long-term storage conditions: cold and dry environment.
WARNING: THIS IS NOT A TOURNIQUET! It provides effective compression but in no way replaces the use of a tourniquet!
