Pay attention to the safety rules!
No ammunition in the same room, nor in your equipment!
Attached you will find 4 targets to print and place on the wall.
Make sure to place them at different heights.
We recommend using Quartz Precision's Predator targets, for the beneficial effects on humanizing the threat they represent.
2 states of your weapon:
- Empty: allows you to practice the fine manipulation of your trigger ("Click"), as well as all the manipulations (reload, etc.)
- Voluntary locking failure: Allows successive pressure work on the trigger, to work on visual capacity and visuomotor connection, as well as grip.
Installing an electrician's hose clamp as shown in the photos allows for a locking failure.
natural aiming point drill
Visual acquisition of the target, close eyes, draw and aim, open eyes, adjust aim WITHOUT MOVING the weapon, by changing the placement of feet and lower body.
Repeat as many times as necessary until you get it right several times (Consistency!)
No body tension! It hinders performance.
Drill Breathing Stress
Draw the weapon - Aim - Isolate the trigger point
—> Close your eyes, take 5 deep breaths, open your eyes
A change in aiming indicates bodily tensions affecting the body's natural aiming position.
Drill 1
10x draw - sight presentation - isolation of the trigger pull - controlled pressure (front sight focus) - resumption of second sight
DRILL 2
10x draw, strong free arm - sight presentation - isolation of the trigger pull - controlled pressure (front sight focus) - second sight placement
—> Move your strong-side foot forward
DRILL 3
10x presentation, free arm support from chest-ready stance - sight presentation - trigger pull isolation - controlled pressure (front sight focus) - second sight resumption
—> Move your foot forward on the support side
DRILL Reload
Weapon holstered with empty magazine.
Drawn - Aiming - Relaxation work
—> Simple incident, Tap rack
Emergency reloading, slide lock release (or power stroke for small hands, requires the use of handling cartridges)
Visual Drill (with locking defect)
Drawn - Process - 3 shots on a target of your choice,
Visual acquisition of the next target,
Align your aim with the new target:
Trigger pressure as soon as the front sight "breaks" the acquired line of sight.
(Be careful of the movement of your sights during successive trigger pulls )
Proactive Drill (with locking fault)
Drawing - Process - 5 shots on a target of your choice,
Conscious analysis of the situation.
